Role: Senior Privacy Analyst

Location: Hybrid, based from one of our offices in Derby, Manchester or Warrington

Salary: we anticipate paying a salary in the £50,650.00 - £66,500.00 range

Our mission is to deliver clean, affordable energy for all. Our Small Modular Reactor (SMR) provides a British solution to the global energy challenge. We are progressing towards becoming a world leader in SMR technology and one of the UK’s most significant green export capabilities.

Our Information Management team plays a vital role in building a trusted, compliant, and resilient digital environment. We enable confident decision‑making across the organisation by creating robust information governance and privacy processes that support innovation, protect individuals, and ensure our business continues to scale safely and responsibly.

We’re looking for a Senior Privacy Analyst to join our Information Management team, reporting directly to our Head of Information Management and external Data Protection Officer. This is a key role leading the day‑to‑day operation of our privacy programme—shaping processes, supporting colleagues, and strengthening our risk‑based privacy controls as we grow in the UK and internationally.

We’ll need you to:

  • Lead the day‑to‑day operation of core privacy processes, including managing all Data Subject Requests.
  • Own and maintain our Record of Processing Activities and drive updates across the organisation.
  • Establish and operationalise the DPIA process, ensuring privacy is embedded in projects.
  • Act as the first point of contact for privacy queries and support data breach responses.

This is a pivotal and highly visible role, where you’ll bring a collaborative mindset, a proactive approach, and first‑class communication skills to strengthen and evolve our privacy programme.

Essential Skills / Qualifications

  • A solid understanding of UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, privacy principles, and operational privacy processes.
  • Experience delivering privacy activities such as DSR handling, DPIAs, ROPA management, and risk‑based decision‑making.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, particularly in environments where privacy isn’t always the top priority.
  • We may ask you about your experience designing or operating privacy processes within a wider organisation.
  • Beneficial (not essential): IAPP qualifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM or CIPT.

What’s in it for you?

We anticipate a salary of £50,650.00 - £66,500.00 dependent on the skills, values, and knowledge you bring.

We also offer excellent benefits including:

  • Bonus - Performance related bonus of up to 12.5%
  • Benefits Allowance - £2,200, enabling you to create a bespoke package
  • Pension - 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.
  • Holidays - 28 days holiday (+ public holidays) and the ability to buy or sell up to 4 days
  • Private Medical Insurance - BUPA single cover health care
  • Life Assurance - 6x pensionable pay
  • £250 - One-off payment for new starters for home office purchases

Pay Range:

£50,600.00
