Lead the Mechanical Handling design authority: develop and deliver safety-critical mechanical handling solutions across the product lifecycle. Lead technical delivery of site‑specific electrical system design for SMR nuclear plants, ensuring alignment with generic design, regulatory compliance, requirements traceability, verification/validation, and integration across disciplines. Provide technical leadership, manage design changes, support licensing and safety case evidence, act as intelligent customer for suppliers, and mentor engineering team members through procurement, construction, commissioning and operations phases.

Lead and grow a team delivering electrical systems analysis for a small modular reactor (SMR) programme. Manage workplans, verification/validation, system studies (static and dynamic), supplier packages, and provide technical assurance to support design substantiation and the safety case. Interface with multidisciplinary teams, regulators and stakeholders.

Lead systems engineering and nuclear safety substantiation for electrical systems across the SMR programme. Manage requirements, MBSE models, V&V strategies, and the Electrical Systems Safety Case. Coordinate with design, safety, regulatory teams and suppliers, lead an engineering team, produce technical substantiation, and engage external stakeholders and regulators.

Lead and coordinate integrated delivery teams across design, licensing, procurement and construction planning for major UK SMR customer programmes. Drive programme governance, risk and dependency management, commercial delivery, stakeholder relationships and readiness for Final Investment Decision on multi-billion-pound nuclear projects.

Support delivery of civil engineering modularisation demonstrator projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, suppliers and contractors to ensure safe, on-time, on-budget delivery while validating design for manufacture, assembly and construction approaches and maintaining regulatory and safety compliance.

Lead a small engineering team to plan, coordinate and deliver power station integration work packages for an SMR design. Define product-level design, manage requirements and plant-level attributes, apply systems engineering/MBSE methods, drive optioneering and trade-offs, resolve cross-system issues, and mentor engineers to meet programme delivery and quality standards.

Lead a Configuration Management team to define and embed CM processes across a safety-critical SMR engineering programme. Establish configuration baselines, manage bills of material, drive engineering change control, ensure data governance and regulatory alignment, and foster cross-functional adoption to enable high-quality delivery at scale.

Provide commercial legal support by drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a wide range of commercial and supply-chain agreements (NDAs, MoUs, services, licensing). Advise stakeholders on contractual risk and compliance, collaborate with cross-functional teams, prepare templates, legal research, and documentation, and support transactional and governance needs within a civil nuclear engineering and design business.

Lead design and delivery of ICT communication and information systems for an SMR power station, including telephony, radio, broadcast, data networking and wireless. Develop architectures, specify and integrate equipment, ensure secure resilient systems compliant with standards (eg IEC 62443), manage stakeholders and suppliers, provide technical oversight, mentor junior engineers, and support programme delivery and technical reviews.

Lead integrated, multidisciplinary programmes for international Rolls‑Royce SMR customer projects, managing design, licensing, procurement, construction planning, governance, risk, dependencies and stakeholder relationships to achieve schedule, cost and quality targets and readiness for Final Investment Decision.

Provide technical leadership for hardwired safety C&I systems across the full lifecycle: architecture, requirements, design, integration, verification/validation, safety assurance and regulatory engagement. Support procurement, operations, mentoring and cross-discipline interfaces for a nuclear SMR programme.

Lead a project-focused BIM and Information Management team to define and embed IM/BIM strategy across design, construction and supply chain. Own EIR/BEP/AIR/MIDP outputs, integrate data flows, assure information quality, and interface with clients and stakeholders to enable predictable, high-quality delivery on large regulated infrastructure projects.

Lead development of site-specific Reactor Island MEP layouts, integrating mechanical, electrical and architectural systems from concept to detailed design. Drive optioneering, constructability, safety (ALARP) and modular delivery, produce technical documentation and safety-case inputs, and mentor junior engineers while managing requirements, risks and gated design reviews.

Lead a team to deliver site-specific Reactor Island layouts from generic design, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing configuration, federated CAD models, requirements control, and programme risk to ensure constructability, regulatory compliance and repeatable deployment across UK and international sites.

Provide technical leadership to develop, verify and implement engineering software for structural and multidisciplinary analysis. Define strategy, ensure software validation/verification and regulatory compliance, resolve complex technical issues, mentor engineers, and collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to improve quality and integration across analysis domains.
