About the Role

As a Senior Principal Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for working with Product Management to develop the system requirements for the development of Professional control, audio, and video equipment such as controllers, network A/V encoders/decoders, amplifiers, DSPs, touch panels, keypads. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with firmware, hardware, mechanical, electrical, software, and test engineering teams to successfully execute development projects.

What You Will Do

  • Develop system requirements, architecture, and design for control and audio/video products in the professional A/V market.
  • Investigate and stay updated on emerging standards and technologies.
  • Act as System Engineering Subject Matter Expert.
  • Participate in product development from inception to mass production.
  • Participate in overall business planning by contributing current knowledge and future vision of how technology and systems will enable business strategy, growth, and competitive positioning.
  • Partner with all functional teams to ensure timely delivery of products to market.

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • A minimum of 12 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of control and audio/video products.
  • Knowledge of networking technologies.
  • Experience with requirements management and traceability.
  • Experience with Jama Connect or other requirements tracking software.
  • Effectively build relationships, influence and motivate internal and external stakeholders across multiple countries.
  • Must have a passion for driving for success and innovation.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.

What is Nice to Have

  • Previous experience with control, audio, and video in the Pro A/V market.
  • Experience working with embedded Linux-based and RTOS products.
  • Experience working hands-on with hardware and troubleshooting problems.
  • Experience with embedded programming using C/C++, Java, Python, etc.
  • Experience with network security, certificates, PKI infrastructure
  • Experience with web servers including front- and back-end technologies

Salary Ranges:

USD 122,250 - USD 179,300
