Team Overview

The Global Infrastructure, Engineering & Operations (GIO) organization is responsible for delivering TransUnion's enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, operational services, technology modernization initiatives, and foundational technology capabilities that support business growth and innovation worldwide. This team plays a critical role in driving operational excellence, infrastructure resiliency, cloud transformation, automation, and service ownership adoption across the enterprise.
This role reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Global Infrastructure, Engineering & Operations and serves as the primary strategic execution partner to the SVP, helping translate organizational priorities into measurable outcomes, enterprise programs, and transformation initiatives. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Role Overview and Core Responsibilities

The Senior Principal, Strategic Program Management & Technology Transformation serves as the chief program leader for GIO, driving the execution of strategic initiatives across infrastructure modernization, cloud transformation, operational excellence, service ownership adoption, and enterprise technology programs.

  • Build, manage, and govern the GIO transformation portfolio, ensuring alignment to strategic priorities and business objectives.

  • Lead execution of large-scale cloud migration and infrastructure modernization initiatives, tracking milestones, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.

  • Establish executive operating reviews and portfolio governance processes that provide visibility into program health, progress, and decision-making needs.

  • Develop executive dashboards, reporting mechanisms, and performance metrics that support leadership oversight and strategic planning.

  • Drive service ownership transformation initiatives by establishing operating models, accountability frameworks, and service performance standards.

  • Lead organizational change management efforts supporting cloud adoption, automation, AIOps, service ownership, and operational modernization initiatives.

  • Coordinate enterprise-wide technology programs across Infrastructure Engineering, Platform & Cloud, Operations & Data Services, Network Engineering, Security, Enterprise Application Services, and Global IT Services.

  • Support executive oversight of strategic vendors, investment planning, business case development, and transformation benefit realization.

  • Facilitate issue escalation, dependency management, leadership communications, and executive readiness activities for key initiatives.

  • Ensure successful delivery of strategic programs through effective stakeholder engagement, governance, communication, and cross-functional leadership.

Required Knowledge and Experiences

  • 12+ years of experience leading enterprise-scale strategic programs, transformation initiatives, or portfolio management functions within complex technology organizations.

  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale infrastructure modernization, cloud transformation, or operational excellence programs with measurable business outcomes.

  • Extensive experience establishing and managing portfolio governance, executive reporting, strategic roadmaps, and enterprise program management processes.

  • Proven ability to support executive leadership teams, including C-level and SVP stakeholders, through effective communication, influence, and strategic planning.

  • Experience leading organizational change management initiatives, including adoption of new operating models, technologies, and business processes.

Required Technical Skills

  • Expertise in Enterprise Program and Portfolio Management methodologies, tools, and governance frameworks.

  • Strong understanding of cloud transformation strategies, infrastructure modernization programs, and enterprise technology operations.

  • Experience developing executive dashboards, KPI reporting frameworks, and portfolio performance measurements.

  • Knowledge of service ownership models, operational metrics, service health monitoring, and accountability frameworks.

  • Experience supporting audit, regulatory, and SOX governance activities including evidence management and compliance reporting.

Pay Scale Information:

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $166,800.00 - $250,000.00 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations. Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
