THE ROLE & THE TEAM

As the Senior Principal Product Manager - B2B Logistics, you will be responsible for driving the B2B vision into the warehouse applications and processes space through the full cycle of discovery, definition, design, and delivery to empower engineers, stakeholders, operations, and experts to drive the partner’s customer experience. This role will also collaborate closely with colleagues from the Transport Management, Logistics Operations, and Order Orchestration teams to ensure a competitive logistics service proposition for our B2B partners' customers.

  • Your role as the Senior Principal Product Manager - B2B Logistics is crucial to our success. You will drive the development, scaling, and continuous improvement of a variety of logistics applications, shaping our business and customer propositions. With colleagues from Transport Management and Logistics Operations, you will redefine the delivery experience of our partner customers and the related day-to-day work of our colleagues in our logistics centers. Your contributions will be instrumental in our growth and success. 

  • You will drive process and automation KPIs and support teams (engineering, product, business) to deliver on those with the right priorities. You will manage the productization of our systems to accelerate time to production, increase capabilities for smart evaluation of technologies in PoC/prototypes/pilots, and reduce complexity with a growing number of processes and technologies.

  • You will be a role model. Don’t miss an opportunity to convey energy and inspiration to make people stretch to the next level and ship it. Inspire, consult, and empower your stakeholders, especially B2B business, Engineering, and product teams, integration and implementation, warehouse operations central functions, and fulfillment center leadership teams.

  • You are an experienced Product Leader who has an affinity for large-scale technical products and processing systems in fulfillment, thrives in complex environments, and can dive deep and fast to discover hidden potential.

  • Collaborative Leadership: One of your superpowers is aligning with senior stakeholders transparently and driving decisions by convincing the team with data and logic.

  • Product Methods & Tools: You have experience working closely with cross-functional teams in Applied Science, Engineering, and Analytics to bring data-driven solutions and capabilities from early-stage discovery to production, ideally in a Logistics environment. You have a credible track record of developing and driving product strategy. 

  • A Senior Contributor mindset: Be driven by your internal motivation to improve Zalando's fulfillment - both for our end customers and for our partners. Tackle challenges independently and positively, being aware of and using all available resources.

  • Data Quality: You have experience in ensuring data accuracy.
