<p><strong>OVERVIEW</strong>:</p>
<p>The Sr. Engineer, Jamf and Mac is a critical and highly technical role within Skillsoft IT, focused on end-to-end technical implementation, deployment, operations, and enhancement of complex MDM solutions. This position requires expert knowledge of both Jamf and macOS, in addition to broader ecosystem integration with Microsoft M365.</p>
<p><strong>OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Jamf Pro Management: Administer, configure, and maintain the Jamf Pro environment, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and scalability for a (growing) population of 700 assets.</li>
<li>Apple Device Lifecycle Management: Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for device enrollment, provisioning, configuration, and deployment using Jamf Pro.</li>
<li>Application Management: Manage software distribution and installation processes for macOS and iOS applications through Jamf Pro, ensuring compliance and license management.</li>
<li>Authentication: Jamf Connect with AzureAD integration for Platform SSO as well as SSO via Company Portal.</li>
<li>Policies and Profiles: Create and manage configuration profiles, restriction policies, and security settings in Jamf Pro to enforce compliance with organizational standards and security best practices.</li>
<li>Scripting and Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools like Bash, Python, or AppleScript to streamline device management tasks and improve operational efficiency.</li>
<li>Troubleshooting and Support: Investigate and resolve complex technical issues related to Jamf Pro, device management, and software distribution, collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed.</li>
<li>Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security measures, including encryption, device policies, and user access controls, to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry regulations.</li>
<li>Ecosystem: Bridging the gap between our ecosystems, such as Apple and Microsoft, to maximize our investment and provide the best user experience possible.</li>
<li>Documentation and Training: Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and training materials related to Jamf Pro configuration, management, and troubleshooting.</li>
<li>Stay Up-to-Date: Continuously monitor industry trends, updates, and new features related to Jamf Pro and Apple device management, and recommend enhancements or upgrades to improve the environment.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>​SKILLS &amp; QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).</li>
<li>• 7+ years of progressive experience in heavy macOS support</li>
<li>Extensive experience as a Jamf Engineer, with a strong focus on Jamf Pro administration, configuration, and management.</li>
<li>Deep understanding of Apple device management principles, processes, and best practices.</li>
<li>Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or AppleScript for automation and customization of device management workflows.</li>
<li>In-depth knowledge of macOS and iOS platforms, including Apple's device provisioning and deployment methods (DEP, VPP, MDM).</li>
<li>Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues related to device management and software distribution.</li>
<li>Familiarity with network protocols, security concepts, and encryption methods as they pertain to device management and data protection.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and provide training and support to end-users. • Relevant certifications such as Jamf Certified Specialist (JSS), Jamf 300 or 400, or Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) are highly desirable.</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills</li>
<li>Ability to multi-task and work independently, as well as work collaboratively with teams, some of which may be geographically distributed</li>
<li>Experience using an Agile methodology is desired</li>
