A Day in the LifeYou will be closely working with engineering leadership, systems engineering, product management, and cross-functional teams to drive SW V&V planning, test design reviews, and quality assurance best practices. As a recognized technical authority, the Senior Principal Test Engineer mentors senior engineers and technical leads, drives innovation in test automation and validation methodologies, reduces complexity and risk through systematic verification, and ensures that quality, testability, and regulatory compliance are validated by design within an agile, fast-changing development environment.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Lead the Software test architecture and quality strategy for Cardiac Ablation Solutions product, desktop, web, and mobile platforms
- Own the enterprise V&V architecture, aligned with system design, regulatory needs, and product roadmaps.
- • Architect scalable automation frameworks (data‑driven, API‑level, model‑based, CI/CD‑integrated).
- • Define testability architecture (Instrumentation, hooks, simulators, diagnostics).
- • Serve as the V&V authority for architecture, risk, compliance, and system‑level validation.
- • Set risk‑based validation strategies across functional, integration, performance, cybersecurity, reliability, and interoperability areas.
- • Ensure end‑to‑end architectural alignment with development, systems, cybersecurity, and product teams.
- • Represent V&V in executive, technical, and regulatory reviews.
- • Define test lab architecture, including environments, virtualization, and distributed execution.
- • Approve test architecture artifacts, automation designs, and validation strategies.
- • Drive innovation in AI‑assisted testing, predictive analytics, and advanced validation tech.
- • Mentor senior engineers on architecture, frameworks, and testing best practices.
- • Lead the toolchain strategy for automation, API testing, simulation, and validation.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- 18+ years in Software Verification and Validation with strong focus on test architecture and enterprise validation.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Engineering or Computer Science (Master’s/PhD preferred).
- Proven test architect for multiple end‑to‑end product releases.
- Expertise in enterprise test architecture, automation patterns, distributed frameworks, and API‑centric testing.
- Deep experience with IEC 62304, ISO 14971, ISO 13485.
- Hands‑on with large‑scale automation frameworks (Selenium, Appium, Playwright, Test Complete).
- Proficient in any one of the languages Python ,C#, Java, or C++.
- Strong understanding of system‑level validation (performance, reliability, scalability, cybersecurity, interoperability).
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience designing scalable lab infrastructure (simulators, device farms).
- Strong communication and influence skills for technical and regulatory audiences.
- Leadership experience across global, multidisciplinary teams.

- Experience with cloud‑native test architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
