The Role:
This strategic technology leadership position will have tremendous visibility within the company setting the strategic direction for the semiconductor advanced 2.5D/3D packaging and Advanced 3D-IC segment across Entegris. As part of the Technology and Innovation, team this role will assess long term industry and customer needs encompassing all aspects of advanced packaging. This position will lead these efforts by providing the technical leadership for new product requirements, strategic engagements, and guidance for technical support across Entegris’s global technology portfolio identifying solutions for the most challenging problems facing the advanced semiconductor packaging industry. Specifically this role will also guide our targeting and gaining new markets within the Advanced Packaging space.
In this role you will:
Develop and drive the corporate advanced packaging technology strategy for the company to achieve the highest performance level; as measured by NPR and other key strategic program success metrics
Identify new technology challenges within the Adv Packaging area where Entegris can win market share. Develop a technology-led strategy to break into new markets.
Determine strategic customer and industry technical needs & communicate the implications to divisional stakeholders
Create technical engagement plans and initiatives for strategic customers and partners
Align cross-divisional product development activities with customer expectations and requirements
Support technical engagements with external research partners
Communicate advanced packaging technology roadmaps aligned to customer and industry needs and ensures alignment with the relative business divisions
Partner with sales account managers to conduct regular reviews with customers to understand their future technology needs
Ensures effective communication between Tech & Innovation and divisional R&D teams
Drive cross functional advanced packaging projects by engaging R&D engineers, technologists, and Sr business unit leaders across Entegris
Traits we believe make a strong candidate:
Master’s degree in Engineering or Science, or equivalent in a technical field; PhD preferred.
10+ years of experience as an advanced packaging/integration engineer focused on advanced packaging architecture and process flow
Experience developing and presenting technical presentations and literature
Knowledge and experience in various advanced packaging technologies
Project management experience, with a track record of planning, driving and executing projects;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to develop and present technical materials to internal and external customers
Your success will be measured by:
Developing relationships with key personnel at Entegris’ customers
Your dedication to see through new solutions opportunities to final productization within our Entegris divisions
Your ability to seek out and develop partnerships with key technical partners e.g. OEMs, other consumables suppliers, consortia
Developing innovative technology and create intellectual property on new products and ideas
Lead product development efforts which meet customers technical, commercial, and timing requirements
