We are seeking a talented individual to join our CIS Team, a Marsh business. This role will be based in Pune. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
As a DevOps Engineer at MMA, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of applications. Your work will be vital to the success of the organization and will add value to our client's experience. You will be responsible for leading the implementation of DevOps practices and ensuring the smooth operation of our software development life cycle. Your expertise in designing and implementing scalable and high-performance applications using .NET and C# will be essential in building robust web applications. You will also collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, QA engineers, and UX designers, to deliver high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.
We will count on you to:
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery processes.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of code changes and deployments.
- Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure on Azure and AWS, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
- Manage containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes to streamline application deployment and scaling.
- Conduct regular system performance monitoring and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Ensure security best practices are followed in the deployment and management of applications and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement DevOps best practices and standards.
- Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in DevOps, cloud computing, and software development to continuously improve processes and tools
What you need to have:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, related degree, or relevant experience (preferred)
- 5+ years of development experience
- Strong expertise in designing and implementing scalable and high-performance applications using .NET and C#
- Proficiency in utilizing frameworks such as ASP.NET, MVC, and Entity Framework
- Strong understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented programming, design patterns, and SOLID principles
- Experience with database technologies such as SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle
- Skilled in front-end development technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular or React
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
- Knowledge of source control systems like Git and experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Minimum 12 months experience as Principal Engineer/Senior Principal Engineer
