Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Power BI Engineer with strong Microsoft Fabric experience to design, develop, and scale enterprise-grade analytics solutions. This role requires deep expertise in Power BI development, semantic modeling, DAX, and hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric components such as Lakehouse, OneLake, Dataflows Gen2, Pipelines, and Semantic Models.
The candidate will work closely with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver high-performance, governed, and scalable BI solutions on a Fabric-first analytics platform.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
- Build and manage Semantic Models using Microsoft Fabric for enterprise analytics consumption
- Develop end-to-end analytics solutions using Fabric components:
- Lakehouse & OneLake
- Dataflows Gen2
- Shortcuts & Pipelines
- Create optimized data models (star / dimensional) for performance and scalability
- Write advanced DAX measures, calculation groups, and time-intelligence logic
- Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and manage access using Fabric / Power BI Service
- Enable incremental refresh, performance tuning, and capacity optimization
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to consume data from:
- Fabric Lakehouse / Warehouse
- Azure SQL / SQL Server
- Azure Data Factory / Fabric Pipelines
- Publish, manage, and monitor datasets, reports, and workspaces in Power BI Service / Fabric
- Ensure data quality, governance, and best practices aligned with enterprise analytics standards
- Act as a technical mentor for junior Power BI developers and contribute to BI standards and accelerators

- 6+ years of experience in Power BI / BI Engineering
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- Power BI Desktop & Power BI Service
- DAX (advanced calculations, performance optimization)
- Power Query (M)
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including:
- Lakehouse & OneLake
- Dataflows Gen2
- Semantic Models
- Fabric Pipelines
- Strong experience in SQL (complex queries, views, performance tuning)
- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts (Star schema, Dimensional modeling)
- Experience with enterprise security (RLS, workspace access, capacity management)
- Strong communication skills with ability to work with business and technical teams
Skills Required
- 6+ years of experience in Power BI or BI Engineering
- Hands-on expertise with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
- Advanced DAX calculations and performance optimization experience
- Power Query M experience
