Senior PL/SQL Developer

Job Description

Responsibilities*

• Develop and maintain PLSQL application.
• Write complex PLSQL queries and optimize them for maximum efficiency and scalability.
• Design and develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Analyze existing systems and propose improvements and new solutions.
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide database solutions.
• Focus and commitment to solving complex software development items that meet customer expectations.
• Be involved with SDLC from requirements to test but own executing development of features & bug fixes that is clean, reusable, maintainable code
• Build quality into all tasks, ensure adequate unit testing and support quality assurance engineers in testing completed items
• Keep abreast of the latest SQL, PLSQL advance features.
• Conduct data analysis.
• Perform Unit Testing.

Achievements/Goals*
Design and implement robust, scalable, and high-performing database solutions using Oracle.

Qualifications

Qualifications / Requirements*

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
• 6 to 8 years of experience working with Oracle databases
• Strong understanding of Oracle database design, coding, and documentation
• Proficient in SQL and database management concepts.
• Hands on experience in understanding / writing / tuning complex SQL queries and PLSQL code.

• Basic knowledge on UNIX commands.
•  Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
•  Ability to mentor Junior-level engineers in best practices
•  Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
•  Experience with GIT
•  Strong communication skills – written and verbal
•  Strong collaboration skills

Preferred skills:

• Experience building apps in financial domain (Lease Accounting) is a plus.
• Familiar with tools like SQL Developer, Putty, SourceTree.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.) and Oracle Cloud solutions
