CSG is hiring a Platform Engineer Sr. to join our Ascendon Core Operations (CoreOps) team. The CoreOps team is accountable for the effective operation and support of solutions delivered by the Ascendon Product Development Teams.
What you will be doing:
Ascendon Product installation and configuration with occasional troubleshooting assistance
Monitor Ascendon solutions function and performance; suggest and implement proactive remediation measures
Trouble-shoot and bug-fix Ascendon solutions
Automate and document Platform Engineer processes s
Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
Manage ticket approvals and assignments along with deliverable dates
Understand and adhere to CSG Security and Compliance standards. Maintaining awareness of all applicable regulations, laws, and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified
Collaborate with colleagues in architecture and development groups
Install, configure and upgrade third party products and open-source solutions
Bi-weekly off-hour maintenance activities performed within the required maintenance window
You should have:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering (Electrical, Software, or Telecommunications) or equivalent experience.
Minimum 4 years’ experience with development and release processes
NATO SECRET (NS) security classification or willingness to undergo screening to attain NATO Secret security clearance
Experience configuring, managing and upgrading servers and software
Experience with SQL and automation frameworks such as Azure DevOps or Salt
Experience with AWS or equivalent public cloud experience
Experience with database applications (MS SQL, MySQL) and Web Services (REST, SOAP)
Familiarity with version control, continuous integration and delivery tools (Subversion, Git, Jenkins, Artifactory or related services like Azure DevOps, Salt, AWS
Software development experience on Windows or Linux platforms in common scripting languages is highly desirable (Python, Groovy, Ruby, bash, PowerShell)
