Job Title: Senior Planning Engineer – Offshore FEED Project
The Senior Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, monitoring, and reporting project schedules for the ADNOC Offshore CED Project. The role ensures effective planning, progress measurement, forecasting, and scheduling control throughout engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover phases while ensuring compliance with ADNOC Offshore requirements and project objectives.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Scheduling- Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) covering Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, and Start-up activities.
- Prepare Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and detailed execution schedules in Primavera P6.
- Establish project baselines and monitor schedule performance against approved targets.
- Develop work breakdown structures (WBS), coding structures, and project calendars.
- Ensure alignment between contractor, subcontractor, vendor, and client schedules.
- Monitor project progress and identify schedule variances.
- Analyze critical path activities and assess schedule impacts.
- Prepare recovery and acceleration plans to mitigate delays.
- Conduct trend analysis and forecast project completion dates.
- Monitor engineering deliverables, procurement status, construction progress, and commissioning readiness.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and ADNOC Offshore.
- Develop project dashboards, S-curves, manpower histograms, productivity reports, and KPI reports.
- Support management reviews by providing schedule performance analysis.
- Generate earned value reports and schedule performance indicators.
- Perform delay analysis and schedule risk assessments.
- Evaluate the impact of change orders, scope changes, and unforeseen events.
- Support preparation of Extension of Time (EOT) claims and supporting documentation.
- Participate in risk workshops and mitigation planning.
- Interface with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project management teams.
- Coordinate with ADNOC Offshore representatives and contractors regarding planning and progress issues.
- Participate in project review meetings and management presentations.
- Ensure planning data is accurately reflected across all project disciplines.
- Develop commissioning and system completion schedules.
- Monitor Mechanical Completion (MC), Ready for Commissioning (RFC), Ready for Start-Up (RFSU), and Handover milestones.
- Support development of system turnover plans and commissioning tracking systems.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline.
- Primavera P6 Professional Certification preferred.
- PMP Certification is an advantage.
- Membership in a recognized engineering institute is desirable.
- Minimum 12-15 years of experience in project planning and scheduling within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Minimum 8 years in EPC/EPCM projects involving offshore facilities, brownfield modifications, or major capital projects.
- Previous ADNOC Offshore project experience is highly preferred.
- Strong experience in engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project controls.
- Experience supporting mega-projects within the UAE and Middle East region preferred
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline
- 12–15 years of experience in project planning and scheduling within the Oil & Gas industry
- At least 8 years of experience in EPC/EPCM projects involving offshore facilities, brownfield modifications, or major capital projects
