- Critical Path Management: Perform advanced critical path analysis and forensic delay analysis to identify potential bottlenecks and provide actionable recovery strategies.
- Project Controls Integration: Collaborate with Cost Engineering and Project Management teams to ensure schedules are resource-loaded and aligned with budgetary milestones and Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Interface with clients, subcontractors, and multi-disciplinary engineering teams to facilitate planning workshops and ensure buy-in on schedule milestones.
- Risk Mitigation: Conduct quantitative schedule risk analysis (QSRA) to identify threats to project completion and develop comprehensive mitigation plans.
- Reporting: Prepare high-level executive summaries, dashboards, and monthly progress reports detailing schedule variance, productivity trends, and performance indicators.
- Technical Advisory: Leverage a civil engineering background to review technical drawings and specifications, ensuring the construction sequence is realistic and efficient.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in project planning and scheduling for large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
- Software Proficiency: Expert-level mastery of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. Experience with Tilos or Acumen Fuse is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of construction methodologies, CPM (Critical Path Method) scheduling, and resource leveling.
- Communication: Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present complex scheduling data to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications: Professional credentials such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) are preferred.
