PNG Air is seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior Planner to join the Continuing Airworthiness Management Group (CAMG) in Port Moresby, PNG.
The Senior Planner is responsible for the effective day-to-day short and long-term planning of aircraft maintenance activities across the PNG Air fleet. This includes forecasting maintenance requirements, coordinating critical parts and rotables, preparing and delivering work packs to the MRO within KPI timelines, and supporting technical records management activities when required.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring maintenance planning activities are carried out efficiently to support operational reliability, regulatory compliance, and aircraft availability. The role requires close coordination with engineering, technical records, and maintenance teams to ensure all scheduled maintenance activities are properly planned and executed.
Key responsibilities include maintenance forecasting, work pack preparation, parts requisitioning, deferral tracking, and ensuring compliance with continuing airworthiness regulations and company procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical records or aircraft maintenance planning
- Minimum 3 years supervisory experience preferred
- Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance planning functions within an airline or aviation environment
- Experience using IAS, RAAS, and CAMP systems preferred
- Sound knowledge of CAR Parts 91, 43, 119, 121, and 125
- Strong computer literacy and experience working with aviation maintenance systems
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Physically fit and capable of working in a dynamic operational environment
