Goods & Services is looking for a Senior Performance Tester with software testing experience, specializing in JMeter-based performance engineering. Expert in complex workload modeling, cloud-based load testing, CI/CD integration, and deep analysis of system metrics to identify bottlenecks, scalability risks, and tuning opportunities. Strong collaborator delivering actionable insights through clear technical and executive-level reporting.
What you’ll need:
- 5+ years of experience in Software Testing.
- Solid expertise in Performance Testing with JMeter.
- Experience scripting complex performance scenarios using JMeter with advanced plugins and custom functions.
- Proficient in designing workload models aligned with non-functional requirements and business objectives.
- Hands-on expertise with cloud-based performance testing platforms (e.g., Azure Load Testing, BlazeMeter) for simulating load, analyzing results, and integrating with CI/CD pipelines.
- Skilled in analyzing and interpreting performance test results to identify bottlenecks, memory leaks, and scalability issues.
- Experience monitoring system metrics (CPU, memory, network, database) during load tests to correlate infrastructure performance with application behavior.
- Knowledge of performance tuning strategies across applications, databases, and infrastructure layers.
- Strong understanding of performance engineering concepts such as capacity planning, scalability, and reliability testing.
- Experience preparing detailed performance test reports and dashboards for technical and executive audiences.
- Ability to collaborate with developers, architects, and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.
Nice to have:
- Experience with other performance testing tools (e.g., Gatling, Locust, LoadRunner).
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, New Relic, Dynatrace).
- Exposure to cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and their performance testing considerations.
- Scripting/programming skills (Groovy, Python) for test automation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD integration for automated performance testing (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
