We are seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst/ Manager responsible for the payroll processing and operations for the employees across the organization. This person will collaborate with the Controller and Head of HR to optimize all payroll processes/systems and perform other HR functions closely related to payroll such as PTO and expense policies, etc.

This role requires work on-site 3-4 days a week; however, we offer ad hoc flexibilities to our team members as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, audit, and process all payroll related transactions and pay adjustments.
  • Payroll is multi-state (across USA) and payroll size approx. 300 employees.
  • Review overtime calculations.
  • Evaluate, and recommend changes on existing payroll and payroll-related systems. Collaborate with CFO, Controller and CHRO on systems optimizations and future implementations.
  • Review timesheet reports to ensure information is accurate, complete, and hours worked are timely approved.
  • Review & prepare employees expense reimbursements payments.
  • Process onboarding and offboarding transactions in the payroll system following the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Maintain employee records updated both in our payroll and in our billing tracking hours system.
  • Monitor vacation and sick days employees balances to follow each business line policies.
  • Prepare terminations payments.
  • Assist in monitoring adherence to employee handbook policies. Collaborate with CHRO on possible edits or reviews to policies.
  • Assist with Ad hoc payroll reports and analysis.
  • Assist with other human resources and clerical duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate’s degree, bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5 years or more in a corporate payroll related position.
  • Professional Certification CPP is an asset.
  • Experience with Payroll systems such as implementing new payroll systems, optimizing systems, etc.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
