Financial Services and Insurance space needs a senior Oracle specialist to
design, build and shape mission-critical Oracle database solutions. You’ll lead
projects, mentor the next generation of developers and turn performance bottlenecks

WHAT YOU'LL DO
· Design and build Oracle database solutions end
to end: schemas, tables, indexes and stored procedures, aligned with best
practice and industry standards.
· Write and
optimise complex
SQL, PL/SQL and database functions that meet business requirements and
performance standards.
· Hunt down
bottlenecks through
query tuning, indexing and resource management to keep systems highly
available, reliable and scalable.
· Keep databases
healthy by
monitoring with Oracle tools and utilities and handling backups, restores,
upgrades and troubleshooting.
· Protect sensitive
data by
implementing and enforcing database security measures and access controls.
· Lead delivery of database development
projects with PMs, BAs and IT teams, from requirements to on-time delivery.
· Mentor and lead junior developers, providing
hands-on technical leadership.
· Drive improvement by documenting
designs and configurations, reporting on performance and project status to
senior management, and recommending upgrades to performance, security and
functionality.
Requirements
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
· Bachelor’s
degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field
· 7+
years as an Oracle Developer designing, developing and optimising Oracle
database solutions
· Proven,
strong Oracle SQL, PL/SQL and Oracle Performance Tuning skills, with a focus on
performance optimisation
· Advanced
knowledge of Oracle database architecture, design and development
· Experience
with data migration, ETL processes and database integration
· Experience
with database management and monitoring tools
· Excellent
analytical and problem-solving skills, plus effective communication and
interpersonal skills
Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience designing, developing, and optimizing Oracle database solutions
- Strong Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle performance tuning skills
