Position title: Senior Operations SME (Mission Command Exercises)
Location: Fort Bragg (Fort Liberty), NC
Clearance required: SECRET
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Provide expert operational input for the development, design, and execution of Mission Readiness Exercises (MRXs).
- Advise SOMTC staff on SOF operational concepts, doctrine, and best practices.
- Support exercise planning, scenario development, and coordination with participating units.
- Ensure MRX products align with training objectives and operational readiness standards.
- Assist in after-action reviews and refinement of training effectiveness.
- Associate; 15 years of related military experience may substitute.
- Graduate of the U.S. Army Special Forces Qualifying Course (Officer 18A, Warrant Officer 180A, or NCO 18-series MOS) AND graduate of a U.S. military intermediate course or Senior Service College; OR graduate of the SF Warrant Officer Advanced Course; OR graduate of the NCOES First Sergeant Course or Sergeants Major Course.
- SOF assignment--Special Forces, PSYOP, Civil Affairs, Ranger Regiment, Special Operations Aviation, or Special Mission units--OR Military Intelligence, Logistics Corps, Field Artillery, or Department of War (DoW) equivalent.
Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years researching, planning, preparing, coordinating, and executing Mission Readiness Exercises (MRXs).
Skills Required
- Active SECRET security clearance
- Associate degree (or 15 years related military experience as substitute)
- Graduate of U.S. Army Special Forces Qualifying Course (Officer 18A, Warrant Officer 180A, or NCO 18-series MOS) AND graduate of a U.S. military intermediate course or Senior Service College; OR graduate of SF Warrant Officer Advanced Course; OR graduate of NCOES First Sergeant Course or Sergeants Major Course
