We’re looking for a highly organised, adaptable, and proactive Senior Operations Analyst to support the day-to-day running of a key Technology department.
This role plays a central part in keeping the department running smoothly and efficiently, ensuring that core operational activity is well-managed, structured, and consistently delivered. You’ll help create the space for leadership to focus on strategic priorities by taking ownership of the coordination, tracking, and execution of day-to-day operations.
Working closely with the leadership team, you’ll bring structure, visibility, and momentum across a wide range of activities—from governance tracking and operational coordination to communications, ad hoc analysis, and improvement initiatives.
This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
What You’ll Be Doing- Supporting the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring activities are coordinated, tracked, and delivered effectively
- Owning and maintaining departmental governance, including tracking actions, risks, decisions, and ensuring follow-through
- Bringing structure and organisation to operational processes, helping ensure consistency and clarity
- Acting as a central point of coordination, helping to keep work progressing and priorities aligned
- Supporting leadership by managing the operational “groundwork” that enables them to focus on strategic activity
- Producing high-quality materials including updates, presentations, and communications
- Supporting engagement and communications activity across the department
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness in how the department operates
- Taking on ad hoc pieces of work, such as analysing a dataset or problem statement and developing clear insights, options, or recommendations for consideration
- Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and keep activities on track
- A proactive, “can-do” mindset—comfortable picking up ownership and running with tasks independently
- Strong problem-solving ability, able to take a broad or loosely defined ask and shape it into a clear, high-quality output
- Confidence working with data—able to ask the right questions, interpret information, and draw meaningful conclusions (without needing to be a technical specialist)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging, and well-structured content
- High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
- Enjoys variety and thrives in roles where no two pieces of work are the same
- Comfortable operating independently, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Flexible and adaptable, able to turn their hand to a wide range of operational and non-operational tasks
- Collaborative, able to build strong relationships within the department
- Play a key role in keeping the department operating effectively day-to-day
- Work closely with leadership in a trusted, high-visibility role
- Gain exposure to a broad range of activities across operations, governance, and communications
- Have the autonomy to shape how work is approached and delivered
- Make a tangible impact by improving efficiency and helping the department operate at its best
You are someone who:
- Takes pride in making things run smoothly behind the scenes
- Can be given a problem or task with minimal direction and confidently deliver a high-quality outcome
- Enjoys variety and tackling new challenges
- Brings structure and clarity to busy, fast-moving environments
- Is proactive, reliable, and trusted to get things done
- Spots opportunities for improvement and takes action
