Job Description

  • Provide end-to-end operational support for Global Markets products, including but not limited to Foreign Exchange, Money Market, Derivatives, Fixed Income, Precious Metals, Structured Products, and other newly launched products.
  • Ensure timely and accurate daily submission of OTC derivatives trade reporting to HKMA. Investigate and liaise with counterparties to resolve unlinked / unmatched transactions.
  • Prepare and submit regular and ad-hoc reports to relevant parties (e.g. BASEL reporting, RMB Returns, BIS Survey, statistics report).
  • Consolidate funding movement for Global Markets to support nostro account balance projection and ensure funding requirements are met.
  • Perform reconciliation for nostro and suspense accounts, brokerage invoices, and investment holdings (e.g. unit trust, equities)
  • Process corporate actions and settlement of order executions
  • Monitor and escalate alert from Fircosoft Message Filtering (AML system).
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal audit standards.
  • Handle enquiries, investigate discrepancies, and co-ordinate with counterparties, Front Office and Head Office counterparts on Treasury-related issues.
  • Support Team Lead in maintaining Standard Operations Procedures (SOP) for Global Markets Operations.
  • Support ad-hoc projects or tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree holder in business administration, finance, commerce or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in related field.
  • Hands-on experience with Global Markets Operations processes.
  • Solid understanding of relevant regulations, market infrastructure, industry norms, central clearing & risk mitigation regime, clearing and settlement mechanism on both local and international depository platforms, default penalties, common tax rules, usage of ISDA/CSA/GMRA, collateral management etc.
  • STrong willing to learn, with the ability to work independently and perform effectively under pressure arisen from workload and time constraint.
  • Knowledge of SWIFT, RTGS and eMBT/eCMT usage, and payment in both MT and MX formats is a must.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, Particularly Excel (VBA knowledge is an advantage).
  • Strong communication skills, proficient in both English, Cantonese & Mandarin

Skills Required
