As a Senior Network Engineer you will be a member of a global IT Network team responsible for installing, maintaining, and managing the global IT network infrastructure. This includes the Firewall & VPN systems, network routing & switching, other LAN and WAN based technologies, WiFi infrastructure, and other network related tasks.
Preferable: Solarwinds Orion (IPAM, Monitoring), Aruba ClearPass (NAC), Palo Alto Networks (FW). Familiarity of Adtran equipment is a plus.
Your other tasks and responsibilities
Operation and support of the worldwide VPN network between corporate locations as well as partners, customers and remote users
Work with IT Security for Incident Management
Risk and change management of the network infrastructure as well as the optimization of existing processes
Handling of customer and internal department network infrastructure requirements
Support for technical and network related questions of employees
Involvement in global IT projects concerning IT networks
Technical documentation of the IT network infrastructure
Your profile
Degree in Computer Science or comparable studies
5 or more years of experience in the administration and operation of IT network systems
Ability to detect and resolve bugs and problems in complex networks
Structured and analytical approach to solving problems
Fluency in spoken and written English, German language – nice to have
You enjoy working independently in an international team
Willingness to travel and time-flexible work
