We are currently looking for a (Senior) Network Engineer for our international team, to be based in Hungary.
Our new colleague will be responsible for the configuration and administration of the multi-vendor network environment. This will include design, operations, administering, maintaining, and implementing a multi-vendor network architecture.
You will also be responsible for the quality control of the deployed systems with responsibilities to include:
- Implementing network solutions that best utilizes IPSEC WAN designs in favour of more costly MPLS and L2 point to point connectivity, deployed with network security best practices in mind
- Evaluate and recommends network security applications that helps to improve network security posture
- Execute on all aspects of network adds/moves/changes related to Real Estate office initiatives. This will include providing network WAN/LAN/Wireless solutions and based on known industry best practices and internal standards
- Perform performance tuning and capacity management analysis that leads to possible recommendations to ensure solutions are scalable but cost effective
- Serve as a network SME and provide operational break/fix support for P1/P2 service outages
- Collaborate with other Network Engineers to define hardware, HA, security, software/firmware, and ongoing maintenance standards/practices
- Document and evaluate impact of required changes to the various stakeholders and IT. Plan, schedule and communicate changes to be implemented
- Create, publish and update Network logical and physical diagrams, Knowledge Articles, SOPs, and documentation
- Act as an IT key holder to provide emergency out of hours cover
Requirements:
- Solid understanding of switching and routing in a Datacenter, HQ, remote office, call centers, and manufacturing environments
- Proven ability to create project proposal, project plans and complete project on time and on budget. Hands on experience configuring and supporting IP routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP, QOS.
- Working experience supporting global WAN technologies such as MPLS, IPSEC, SSL/VPN, ISP/DIA, and Point to Point leased lines. Experience implementing network circuits with Tier 1 -3 ISP providers on a global scale. Understanding of backbone and network hub and spoke network architecture.
- Experience working with Cisco; knowledge of any of the following would be considered a great advantage: Juniper/Aruba/Palo Alto Networks/F5 LTM & GTM, and in Vendor Management
- Hands-on experience with bleeding-edge technologies, such as Cisco SDA LAN, Cisco ACI Data Center technology
- Knowledge of Datacenter and branch office firewalls such as Palo Alto Networks NGFW platforms with a working knowledge of security best practices and concepts
- Proactive attitude and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Good troubleshooting skills to isolate and identify configuration, design, and software anomalies; ability to clearly articulate findings in written and verbal communications with development level engineering staff
- Experience on any wireless devices is an added advantage
