Location: Newark, NJ 07105 

Duration : Long Term Contract 

Shift Timings : 3 PM to 11 PM 

 

 

 

Short Description 

The State of New Jersey's Transit Corporation (NJT) is seeking a Network Engineer to identify, validate, notify, and respond to problems in the Network Operations Center (NOC). The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years in wide-area and local area networks, 5+ years of utilizing network management tools, and 5+ years of employing trouble ticketing applications (Footprints, ServiceNow). 


*Note: This position involves travel 50% of the time in New Jersey and will provide reimbursement for mileage 


Required Skills/Years of Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience 
  • 5+ years of experience with wide-area and local area networks 
  • 5+ years of experience with network management tools 
  • 5+ years of experience with routers, switches, and carrier services 
  • 5+ years of experience with trouble ticketing applications (Footprints, ServiceNow) 
  • 5+ years of experience with service desk skills and ITIL incident management and process flows
