Key responsibilities include network design and implementation, firewall administration, wireless management, network security and compliance, performance monitoring, and maintaining accurate documentation. The role also involves mentoring junior engineers, collaborating with vendors for procurement and support, and working cross-functionally with other IT teams to ensure seamless client delivery.

This position requires the ability to work independently on complex problems while also contributing as a strong team collaborator in a fast-paced consulting environment. Candidates must be based in the Northern Indiana region and willing to travel to client sites as required. This position will also particiate in a team on-call rotation.

  • Layer 2/3 Protocol Expertise: Strong knowledge of HSRP, Spanning Tree, VPC, and DNS protocols
  • Routing Platforms: Cisco ISR, ASR, CSR, and Arista; experience designing and implementing BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF
  • Switching Platforms: Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, Meraki, Aruba, Fortinet, and Arista; proficient in configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Wireless Platforms: Meraki, Cisco, Aruba, and Ubiquiti, Fortinet
  • Palo Alto Firewall (Required): Hands-on experience with PA-Series, VM-Series, and Panorama; security policy design, NAT, VPN, and threat prevention
  • Fortinet (Required): Hands-on experience with FortiGate and FortiManager; firewall policy management, SD-WAN, and FortiAnalyzer reporting
  • Network Security: VPN, ACL, DMVPN, IPsec, NAC, MAB, 802.1X, and encryption standards
  • Azure Cloud Networking: VNET, VNET Peering, Private Link, vWAN, ExpressRoute; hybrid connectivity and security best practice

  • CCNP or higher (Enterprise, Security, or equivalent track)

  • Experience conducting end-user or team training on network topics
  • Cross-functional collaboration with system administrators and other IT disciplines
