What you'll do
- Act as a key liaison between Finance stakeholders and the NetSuite system, building strong relationships, communicating effectively, and applying finance/accounting principles to gather requirements and optimize configurations.
- Contribute to the financial systems roadmap by providing expert input and supporting the delivery of new features alongside your team.
- Drive the completion of routine and ad-hoc finance systems administration tasks across Accounting, Tax, and Financial Planning & Analysis teams, identifying and proposing improvements.
- Manage NetSuite integrations and customisations (e.g., records, workflows, reports), ensuring smooth operation through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Provide both functional and technical NetSuite support, which includes maintaining and enhancing existing scripts and workflows to improve system efficiency.
- Ensure quality control, robust change management for Sandbox & Production environments, and thorough documentation across all developments, including process flows, functional specifications, and training materials.
- Independently resolve moderate to complex system issues by conducting thorough investigations and collaborating with vendors or third-party support teams when necessary.
- Champion best practices within the team, coach peers to enable them to work more independently, and act as a subject matter expert for the ERP system.
What you'll bring with you
- 5-7+ years of combined experience in a System Accountant, System Analyst, or similar role with a strong focus on ERP administration, configuration, and business requirements gathering.
- Demonstrated experience in solution delivery within an FMIS/ERP administration environment, preferably with NetSuite.
- A solid understanding of accounting principles is highly advantageous.
- Experience with NetSuite development, including creating and implementing workflows and saved searches, along with a working knowledge of SuiteScripts.
- Proven ability to draft and deliver clear documentation, including business cases, solution documents, and technical/functional specifications.
- Previous experience acting as an escalation point or as a key contributor in a system implementation project would be beneficial.
- Expert verbal and written communicator.
- Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Being able to provide feedback and technical mentorship to the team, encouraging best practices along with knowledge sharing
- Interaction with seniors and executives with an exceptional can-do attitude, as well as the ability to multitask under increased deadlines
