Our team enables customers to purchase insurance policies directly, online. We support our marketing initiatives by delivering personalized customer experiences and we support our back office by creating efficiencies and continual improvement around their processes.
We are growing the biBerk team of C#/.NET developers who are creating our cloud-first, API driven, dynamic insurance platform. In this role, you will collaborate with others to design, develop, and maintain our software.

Job Responsibilities
Work with development team members including developers, business analysts, quality assurance testers, product owners, DevOps engineers, and others to:
- Write high quality, clean, scalable code
- Ensure that code is efficient, performant, and secure
- Participate and contribute to the entire project lifecycle including requirements gathering, technical design, development, testing, and production support
- Collaborate with multiple internal development teams and assist with software design and architecture
- Develop strong partnerships with business teams and other groups
- Test and deploy applications and revise, update, debug, and refactor code
- Deliver the required capabilities per biBerk standards
- Enhance the software capabilities by continuous improvement and innovation
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Related field or equivalent working experience
- 5+ Years of proven experience as a C#/.NET developer
- Experience with and practical knowledge of Cloud Services and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Consistently writing testable code and implementing robust unit testing coverage.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Experience on dev teams that utilize deployment pipelines (CI/CD)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, collaboration capabilities, and attention to detail
- Occasional travel to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton PA area for strategy meetings (1-2 times / year)
- Normal working hours based on Eastern US time
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial Property and Casualty insurance experience
- Practical working knowledge of ASP.NET MVC, and .NET Core
- Strong design, coding, debugging and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of architectural, design, and agile patterns and methodologies
- Experience working on large software development projects while collaborating across multiple scrum teams
- Experience with Azure DevOps Boards and Pipelines or equivalent tools
- Fundamental understanding of the concepts of CI/CD
- Experience performing code reviews and approving pull requests
- Some experience with TypeScript and SPA frameworks (Angular, React, etc.)

In accordance with pay transparency laws and regulations, the following good faith compensation range estimate is being provided. The salary range for this position is $100,000- $120,000 per year. Final compensation will be based on candidate qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.
