This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll set the team's rhythm and standards, own our key platform relationships, work with clients and commercial teams on performance, and turn long-term channel strategy into quarterly objectives the team can deliver. You'll also shape the 2027 Native roadmap, so you'll join at a point where your thinking will influence where the channel goes next.
What you'll do:
Team performance and targets
- Own delivery against team targets, and share an end-of-month performance review with the wider team.
- Run a personal portfolio of native campaigns, hitting targets, keeping up with new platform features and best practice, and owning creative strategy and content for your subcategories.
- Own the Native team meeting cadence: weekly stand-ups, weekly spot-check and extrapolation reviews, monthly performance reviews and long-term strategy sessions.
- Report Native KPIs in the weekly leadership meeting and make sure the team's work is focused on improving them.
Strategy, process and analysis
- Translate divisional long-term strategy into quarterly objectives for the team, with clear ownership and accountability.
- Review performance weekly, including missed demand post-mortems, long-term channel trends and disposition deep dives, and weigh channel opportunities against commercial and historical data to find new revenue.
- Work with the team leads on a weekly performance review process that feeds leadership goals down into day-to-day optimisation.
People leadership
- Line manage the Native team, with weekly one-to-ones (agendas and actions tracked in HiBob) focused on performance, skills and career growth.
- Run biannual performance reviews and annual growth conversations, and use them to set and track individual development plans.
- Hold the team accountable for their objectives and channel KPIs, and share team performance and feedback with channel principals monthly.
- Lead by example, balancing doing the work yourself with coaching and delegating, and help build a team culture that reflects MVF's values.
- Give structured feedback to the team and share upward feedback with the marketing leadership team quarterly on process, team needs and strategic opportunities.
Native channel leadership
- Work closely with channel partners, including weekly calls with the account managers, testing new products & topline performance.
- Hire, onboard and train new starters, run quality audits, and keep team best practice up-to-date.
- Contribute to business projects such as our in-house AI tooling, using it yourself, encouraging adoption and feed back to shape future versions.
- Take part in functional projects on platform features and creative for native, so the team keeps building on new approaches.
- Involvement in the kick-off and delivery of the 2027 Native roadmap.
Clients and commercial collaboration
- Act as the main marketing contact for clients, making sure their success metrics are met and setting expectations where needed.
- Present performance reports and marketing recommendations to clients, working alongside our Account Management and Sales teams.
What we're looking for:
- Extensive performance marketing experience, with expertise in native platforms such as MSAN (Microsoft Audience Network), Mediago, Taboola and Outbrain, MGID, Revcontent.
- Experience managing people, ideally a team of paid marketing specialists, including performance reviews and development plans.
- A track record of owning channel or team targets and delivering growth on large, high-budget portfolios.
- Strong analytical skills and commercial judgement, with confidence turning data into strategy and clear actions.
- Experience managing platform partner relationships and presenting to clients and senior stakeholders.
