1. PURPOSE
Responsible for the creation, implementation, and life-cycle management of the system architecture in their assigned area of responsibility, compliant with the HealthSuite Reference Architecture and underlying domain specific Reference Architecture(s), driving harmonization and leveraging common and/or domain specific platforms and technology choices. Devising, driving, and contributing to the regulatory strategy for their area. Challenge & contribute to, business constraints and processes related to system architecture, to further improve upon the delivery on Philips’ strategy.
2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Helps the teams define and implement a solution, which is suitable for current and upcoming features, while conforming to non-functional requirements. Ensures creation and realization of architectures focusing on architectural and design decisions.
Might conduct some development activities.
System Architecture & Strategic Alignment
Translate Philips and business strategy into system architecture requirements and roadmap, balancing customer, business, and regulatory needs.
Requirements Management & Trade-offs
Consolidate and manage functional and non-functional requirements throughout the lifecycle; resolve conflicts and ensure coverage, quality, and compliance.
Architecture Design & Platform Implementation
Deliver documented reference architecture with defined rules, elements, and interfaces; supervise implementation and manage architecture evolution.
Technical Leadership & Design Decisions
Own top-level MRI system design, assess technical feasibility, allocate design budgets and interface specifications; guide design reviews and development activities.
Defect Analysis & Integration Support
Lead system-level defect analysis and remediation during integration, verification, and validation phases.
Methods & Tools Application
Ensure architecture documentation meets regulatory standards; apply state-of-the-art modeling tools and I2M processes.
Influencing & Team Collaboration
Drive architecture adoption through explanation, persuasion, and decision facilitation; coach and grow implementation teams.
Innovation & Technical Negotiation
Lead cross-disciplinary innovation; negotiate technical trade-offs with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Architecture Community & Capability Building
Participate or lead community activities; share best practices; train and mentor architects and candidates.
3. JOB REQUIREMENTS
The position requires the following personal capabilities and competence for acceptable performance:
Master’s or PhD degree in Physics or Engineering with MR physics background.
Minimum 5 years of intensive experience in Systems engineering, rich experience at standard and risk management.
Strong expertise in MR chain(RF chain/Gradient chain/Magnet chain) design and implementation, combined with a solid system-level thinking approach to ensure optimal integration and performance across complex MRI architectures.
