What You'll Be Doing
Lead the development of Venn’s first mobile app using React Native, bringing our web experience to iOS and Android
Take ownership of the full mobile development lifecycle from architecture and design to build, testing, and deployment
Work closely with design, product, and backend engineering to ensure the mobile app feels seamless, performant, and secure
Make key decisions around mobile architecture, tooling, and frameworks to ensure scalability and long-term maintainability
Implement mobile-specific optimizations and ensure compliance with platform standards (App Store, Google Play, etc.)
Establish best practices for mobile development and lay the foundation for a mobile engineering function at Venn
What we’re looking for
7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on mobile development
Proven expertise in React Native, TypeScript with apps shipped to both iOS and Android
Strong understanding of mobile architecture, APIs, offline sync, security, and performance optimization
Experience integrating mobile apps with complex backend systems and APIs
Ownership of mobile CI/CD, app store deployment, and monitoring tools
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work closely with product, design, and backend teams
Entrepreneurial mindset and excited to be the first mobile engineer leading the build of Venn’s mobile experience end to end
