EventConnect is a sports-tourism technology company that connects event organizers, teams, hotels, and destinations on one platform. We streamline registration, scheduling, housing, and payments to drive room nights and deliver a smoother travel experience. Headquartered in London, ON, we support tournaments across North America with dependable, customer-focused software.
We are looking for a React Native developer interested in building performant mobile apps for both the iOS and Android platforms. You will be responsible for architecting and building these applications, as well as coordinating with the teams responsible for other layers of the product infrastructure. Building a product is a highly collaborative effort, and as such, a strong team player with a
commitment to collaboration and communication is required.
The ideal candidate for this position will:
- Have extensive programming experience in React Native for mobile applications
- Demonstrate strong user interface (UI) design skills
- Have strong knowledge of publishing Android and iOS apps.
- Possess the ability to identify and communicate technical problems and generate solutions
- Have a professional and positive attitude with a solution-based approach to challenges
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Writing, updating, implementing, and testing well architected, clean, and readable code
- Collaborating with product owners, leadership and other stakeholders to gather and document user requirements and convert into technical specifications and acceptance criteria
- Contributing to quality assurance and user testing
- Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms.
- Providing ongoing assistance and guidance to API development team to deal with issues and questions that arise regarding requirements and solutions
- Maintaining code documentation and standards.
- Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of React Native experience
- Extensive knowledge of mobile app development (the entire process from ideation to publishing)
- Possess strong written and oral communication skills

- Standard hours: Mon–Fri, 9 a.m.–5 p.m., with flex time.
- Hybrid: 3 days in office post-onboarding (up to 2 remote days/week).
