  • Strategic Media Investment & Performance Management
    • Lead the development, execution, and optimization of performance-based media investments across television, streaming, audio, print, OOH, syndication, and emerging channels.
    • Manage a portfolio of media investments, balancing client objectives, budgets, performance goals, and market opportunities.
    • Negotiate pricing, value, and media placement to maximize client performance and return on investment.
    • Use performance data and marketplace insights to identify optimization opportunities and strategic recommendations.
    • Align media investments with client KPIs, recommending testing opportunities, budget shifts, and areas for growth.
    • Evaluate partnerships, sponsorships, integrations, and innovative opportunities that support client objectives.
    • Seek new technologies, platforms, and media solutions that can improve efficiency and performance.
  • Media Planning, Campaign Management & Client Collaboration
    • Partner with account, planning, analytics, and buying teams to develop and execute media strategies.
    • Build and manage media schedules across local, national, and CTV platforms.
    • Monitor pacing, clearance, budget delivery, and performance throughout campaign flights.
    • Provide ongoing budget updates and performance recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
    • Analyze campaign performance and develop actionable recommendations tied to business goals.
    • Present performance insights, testing results, and strategic recommendations to clients and internal teams.
    • Serve as a client-facing resource on media strategy, performance, and investment opportunities.
    • Foster a performance-first mindset through continuous optimization and data-driven decision-making.
  • Cross-Channel Media Expertise
    • Develop a strong understanding of television, streaming, audience-based buying, and cross-platform media strategies.
    • Identify opportunities to improve reach, efficiency, and performance across channels.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate audience insights, attribution, and measurement solutions.
    • Apply industry and consumer media trends to media recommendations and planning decisions.
  • Team Collaboration & Mentorship
    • Mentor and support Media Coordinators, Assistants, and junior team members on media strategy, buying fundamentals, and campaign management.
    • Assist with onboarding and training new team members.
    • Document processes, best practices, and learnings to support team development and operational excellence.
    • Collaborate across departments to improve workflows and share knowledge.
    • Participate actively in team meetings, training opportunities, and special projects.
  • Industry Leadership
    • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and new media opportunities.
    • Share relevant insights and recommendations with internal teams and clients.
    • Contribute to agency thought leadership and continuous improvement initiatives.

What Makes a Great Senior Media Manager at Rain?

  • National TV buying experience is required.

Target Base Salary: $76k - $96k
Base salary is determined by a wide range of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, job duties, and needs of the business. Base salary is one part of our total compensation package, which includes benefits, perks, and profit-sharing.
