As a Senior Mechanical Test Engineer, you’ll ensure the structural integrity and readiness of ICEYE’s satellite systems by designing and executing critical mechanical testing campaigns that validate performance in demanding launch and space environments.

Your day-to-day responsibilitiesDesign, develop, and validate Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE) for satellite testing
Design mechanical interfaces for vibration, shock, and environmental testing
Develop and optimize test jigs and fixtures for mechanical testing
Create and maintain manufacturing drawings and technical documentation
Plan, coordinate, execute and document vibration test campaigns for subsystems and full satellites
Perform and support finite element analysis to validate designs and test setups
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test readiness and successful execution
Deliver end-to-end mechanical testing campaigns aligned with project requirement
MSc degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of experience in MGSE design and mechanical testing environments
Experience with vibration testing and mechanical validation of hardware
Experience leading technical work or R&D projects
Proficiency with CAD and PDM tools such as Autodesk Inventor and Vault or similar
Experience with finite element analysis tools such as ANSYS, Nastran, or Hypermesh
Ability to create and interpret manufacturing drawings
Hands-on engineering mindset with ability to work both independently and in teams
Experience in aerospace or satellite hardware development
Manufacturing knowledge of machined components
Hands-on experience in satellite assembly
