The Role:
Our site in San Luis Obispo, CA. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer. The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for design, detailing, and documenting electrical and electro-mechanical systems used in Ultra High Purity (UHP) gas purification systems assembled at our facility.
What You’ll Do:
- Create and refine mechanical components and sub-systems.
- Work cross functionally to integrate mechanical systems with electrical and controls sub-systems.
- Conduct simulations and analysis to evaluate system performance and reliability.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including fellow mechanical engineers, controls engineers, and electrical engineers for full systems integration.
- Analyze and optimize purification processes to enhance efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and minimize environmental impact.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including engineering drawings, design specifications, and test reports.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in gas purification technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Any other duties as assigned.
What We Seek:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a Bachelor’s degree; or at least 1 year of experience with a Master’s degree.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems and processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Advises and mentors less experienced engineers.

- Compensation: $97,000-$110,000/yr range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role.
