Echodyne is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to join our fast-growing team. REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
  • Senior-engineer level experience in mechanical engineering design for electro-mechanical products, with deep understanding of thermal, electrical, and environmental considerations.
  • Knowledge of the mechanical considerations of PCB design and PCB packaging.
  • Ability to advise RF, Microwave, Digital & Antenna engineering teams on constraints (mechanical, environmental, thermal) & work to a production solution.
  • Advanced-to-expert level user of Solidworks.
  • Knowledge in implementing, interpreting and explaining ASME Y14.5 GD&T.
  • Knowledge in hand and computational analysis for modal, stress and thermal considerations.
DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE 
(Looking for one or more as a complement to the core skills)
  • Proficient experience in ANSYS/similar analysis software for thermal and structural computational analyses.
  • Experience leading the mechanical design of RF or millimeter-wave transmit/receive modules, or equivalent PWA-based transceivers, at x-band or above through qualification & product launch.
  • Certified in ASME Y14.5 GD&T
  • Experience designing and certifying products for IP rating requirements.
  • Knowledge of various production processes and ability to tailor design to those processes to meet design to cost objectives.
  • Relationships with local fabrication shops.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with design approaches for RF isolation requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • BS, MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, with +5 years experience
  • Eligible to handle export-controlled data (ITAR, EAR)

The expected annual salary range for this role is
$124,733$187,048 USD

Skills Required
