- Supervise projects to ensure they meet commitments related to time, quality, and communication. Work directly with clients to establish project schedules and set expectations.
- Assist market segment manager and team leader in manpower projections and scheduling of work.
- Manage, direct and supervise mechanical engineering staff in the execution of specific projects to meet schedules and timely completion of projects. Schedule and lead mechanical production staff meetings.
- Assist team leader in annual reviews of mechanical staff.
- Assist market segment manager and team leader in maintaining and developing client base through various business development efforts.
- Assist market segment manager and team leader in preparation of RFP type proposal responses including project write ups, resumes, etc.
- Visits construction site to monitor progress and other duties per contract documents.
- Checks all technical work for accuracy.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of an experienced team.
- Take an active lead in proposal for work process. Identify prospective clients and work in conjunction with team leader to establish relationships with those clients.
- Deal directly with clients/owners to determine specific project needs.
Skills:
- 7+ years of design/engineering consulting experience.
- Experience and detailed understanding of Revit is a plus.
- Be responsible for the total mechanical systems design for specific projects
- P.E. in Mechanical Engineering preferred, not required
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
