About this Role

Strava is the app for active people. With over 150 million athletes in more than 185 countries, Strava is where connection, motivation, and personal bests thrive. No matter your activity, gear, or goals, we help you find your crew, crush your milestones, and keep moving forward. Start your journey with Strava today.

Our mission is simple: to motivate people to live their best active lives. We believe in the power of movement to connect and drive people forward.

We’re looking for a Senior Marketing Operations Manager to drive operational clarity, collaboration, and execution across the entire Marketing organization — including Growth Marketing, Product Marketing, Brand, and Athlete & Community Partnerships.

This person will lead the systems, tools, and workflows that ensure our Marketing teams are focused on the highest-impact work. From annual and quarterly planning to sprint operations, vendor enablement to project visibility, this role will bring structure to a dynamic and fast-moving team. You’ll be responsible for scaling how Marketing gets work done — efficiently, cross-functionally, and in alignment with Strava’s broader business goals.

This role is based in our New York, NY office with a hybrid in-office work requirement of at least 3 days per week and regular travel to our San Francisco office.

What you’ll do:
  • Lead and evolve the operational infrastructure for the Marketing org — including planning, prioritization, sprint management, and execution rhythms
  • Connect day-to-day marketing operations with executive priorities, ensuring the CMO and leadership team have clear insight into progress, challenges, and impact.
  • Support annual and quarterly planning and OKR development in partnership with Marketing and XFN leaders
  • Optimize tooling and systems (e.g., Asana, Airtable) to improve visibility, reduce duplication, and support accountability across teams
  • Partner with leaders across Product, Creative, and more to ensure alignment and operational consistency
  • Improve project intake and resource allocation processes to help teams focus on the most strategic and impactful work
  • Establish and refine self-serve workflows and documentation to empower teams and reduce operational friction
  • Identify risks, remove blockers, and proactively mitigate issues before they impact delivery
  • Support onboarding and management of external vendors and agency partners
What you’ll bring to the team:
  • End-to-end ownership. You lead Operations through both strategy and execution — supporting the vision while rolling up your sleeves to make it real.
  • Operational leadership. You’ve built systems, processes, or rituals that helped teams scale, move faster, and collaborate better.
  • Marketing fluency. You understand how Brand, PMM, Growth, and Partnerships operate — and know how to support and connect their needs.
  • Strategic influence. You align diverse stakeholders around shared priorities and help teams move forward with focus and clarity.
  • Builder’s mindset. You’re energized by ambiguity and love creating structure, not just maintaining it.
  • Calm confidence. You bring stability to fast-moving environments, helping teams navigate change without losing momentum
  • Adaptable communication. You have the ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) to a range of audiences from Marketing to XFN Operational leaders to Executives.
We’re excited about you because you have:
  • 8+ years of experience in Marketing Operations, Program Management, or a related function
  • Experience leading operational systems and workflows across large or matrixed teams
  • Deep knowledge of project management tools like Asana, Airtable, and/or Jira
  • Experience supporting XFN marketing efforts across multiple sub-teams (e.g. Brand, PMM)
  • A track record of scaling processes, removing friction, and improving visibility in complex orgs
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including with senior leaders
  • Bonus: Experience managing agencies, vendors, or external partner workflows
