Purpose of the position:
Reporting to the Associate Director, this exciting role sits within the Marketing function at SCMP Live - events arm of SCMP. The primary focus of the role is to ensure the professional and effective planning, management and delivery of events of different scales to achieve the organisation’s overall objectives in brand building, leads generation and revenue growth.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, collate, and oversee the preparation of comprehensive marketing and promotional materials including but not limited to website development eDM, social, digital and print ads for all local and overseas events organised by SCMP Live, ensuring alignment with event objectives and messaging.
- Act as the primary liaison for partners, target audiences, event attendees; manage and handle their enquiries to maintain, expand, and optimise customer and partner databases/mailing lists for targeted outreach
- To own and provide superior end to end project management services for sponsors and clients, and implement strategies to ensure effective communication and relationship management.
- Collaborate with multiple internal cross functional teams and external vendors to ensure smooth delivery and accomplishment on event deliverables.
- Lead coordination efforts with vendors and service providers onsite to guarantee the smooth execution of all events, overseeing logistics, on-site execution, proactively addressing potential issues.
- Monitor database updating and maintenance to ensure marketing effectiveness.
- Provide strategic support to the marketing team, including budget management, invoicing, post-event reporting to assess performance and gather feedback.
- Perform other administrative duties or tasks as and when required by the supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in marketing or event management within a sizable corporation or agencies, with a proven track record of successful event execution.
- Proficient in Google/MS Office Suite and familiar with website development and event management software.
- Experience in digital marketing, content creation, or paid and performance marketing.
- Experience in working with KOLs and influencers will be a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin are essential.
- Highly organized and self-disciplined with exceptional attention to detail, strong critical thinking skills under pressure, and a positive, collaborative mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines while ensuring high-quality outcomes.
Work location will be in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong.
