The Senior Marketing Analyst will empower the Marketing team with data and insights that communicate objective achievement rates and quantify the impact of marketing activities on member success and organizational goals. This role will be responsible for building marketing dashboards and reports and should have the ability to transform large data sets into practical information and suggestions for performance improvement across all marketing platforms. You will collaborate with Information Technology, Information Services, Business Intelligence, Digital and other departments as the Marketing data owner with a critical role in collecting, organizing, analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing data from multiple sources. You will help our go-to-market teams by developing data models and analytical tools for segmentation, benchmarking, trending, competitive intelligence, and by conducting A/B testing for campaigns, content, and communications.
Key Duties
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data to form actionable insights that address strategic marketing challenges and opportunities, provide actionable information that can improve member success and experience.
- Assist leadership in establishing a long-term strategy for marketing measurement and analytics that incorporates multiple data sources across SECU systems, communications, and marketing efforts including determining success metrics, forecasts, and driving positive revenue.
- Conduct analysis to inform product and service optimization, monitor marketing effectiveness and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Publish and present periodic marketing reports and dashboards requiring data aggregation and visualization. Create measurement briefs to outline KPIs and goal metrics as part of creative brief process.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to aggregate and analyze multiple channel data disciplines and help manage data acquisition, handling, and governance processes
- Provide ad hoc analysis, competitive information, presentations, status reports and meeting recaps as necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 5+ years related work experience
- Ability to use data and analytics to evaluate assumptions, deliver recommendations, and move business metrics Proficiency in SQL / SAS and Microsoft Excel (complex functions)
- Broad and deep knowledge of marketing promotion methods, best practices, and marketing leading techniques
- Experience with A/B & Multivariate testing/analysis
- Ability to collaborate and work in a cross-functional environment and to develop and maintain key relationships
- Ability to act as a change agent; to operate with urgency; and to challenge the status quo
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate data insights in a clear, concise and compelling manner
- Highly organized with an excellent sense for priorities when dealing with time restraints and multiple requests.
- Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Outstanding attention to details while maintaining focus on larger goals
- Comfortable creating and delivering presentations
Preferred
- Financial background
- Experience with visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
- Experience in Adobe Analytics or Audience Manager
- Experience with Qualtrics
- Demonstrated marketing and marketing research skills
- Experience in generating and implementing marketing pixels for conversion tracking
- Experience in automation of various marketing platforms for reporting purposes
- Familiar with technical implementation and best practices in Google and Adobe Analytics for key events, marketing channels, segmentation and traffic exclusions
- Familiarity with large level segmentation clustering and persona development
- Experience with paid media/agency partnerships, including programmatic, search, social, audio, in addition to other digital and analog channels
