Our Supply Team is growing, and we want you to be part of it! As a Senior Market Manager, you will play a crucial role in the retention, growth, and optimization of host entrepreneurs and rising hosts in your assigned territory. You will focus on building strong relationships with these hosts, helping them optimize their listings, improve pricing strategies, and enhance their overall success on Airbnb.
The Difference You Will Make:
As a Senior Market Manager, your role will entail ensuring the health and expansion of our supply in your territory. This will involve managing Hosts and acquiring high-quality inventory. Your focus will be to enhance Airbnb's market presence in your designated region through close collaboration with cross-functional partners and by leveraging your expertise on the local market.
Operating in a highly regulated and policy-driven environment, you will partner closely with teams such as Public Policy, Legal, Tax, Product, and Communications to ensure compliant, sustainable market growth. With a deep understanding of Airbnb's mission and values, you will oversee all aspects of supply acquisition and market success while navigating evolving regulatory landscapes.
This includes developing acquisition strategies, managing relationships with strategic partners, and creating new partnerships. You will also be tasked with developing and refining scalable, localized supply management strategies for both established, competitive markets and emerging, untapped markets, aiming to secure long-term success.
A Typical Day:
- Build, manage, and expand partner relationships within your territory, aiming to surpass quarterly targets
- Conduct regular optimization calls and business reviews with partners, providing exceptional, timely service, including in-person support as needed
- Implement strategies to effectively manage and optimize strategic partnerships
- Prospect and onboard new, high-quality supply within your assigned geography
- Educate clients on product updates while gathering and relaying feedback to internal stakeholders
- Leverage data to identify and pursue strategic growth opportunities, navigating operational and regulatory complexities
- Develop and execute innovative engagement strategies tailored to your market
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Communications, Public Policy, Legal, Tax, and Customer Support teams to drive compliant and sustainable market success
- Navigate and interpret local regulations and policy considerations, ensuring alignment with Airbnb standards and external requirements
- Build deep expertise in local market trends to inform internal strategy and external partnerships
- Understand technical aspects of software partnerships to support hosts effectively
- Represent Airbnb in external meetings and industry events, reinforcing brand presence
Your Expertise:
- 8+ years of experience in sales, account management, or partner support, with a strong track record of building and growing business relationships
- Experience working cross-functionally across multiple stakeholders, with the ability to influence and align teams toward shared goals
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within highly regulated, policy-driven environments, balancing business objectives with compliance requirements
- Proven ability to manage a leads pipeline and book of business, driving growth and retention
- Strong quantitative skills with the ability to interpret data and apply insights to decision-making
- Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels, with success in ambiguous and fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and presentation skills across phone, email, and in-person interactions
- Self-starter with strong time management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
