- Expert knowledge of MariaDB or MySQL
- Strong understanding of NoSQL databases such as Couchbase or Redis
- 10+ years experience in database administration
- Familiarity with cloud based deployments
- Ability to plan and organize complex database upgrades and installations
- Ability to collaborate with engineers, product, and infrastructure teams.
We’re also looking for the preferred skills below. Whether you are proficient or could use some brushing up, we’re happy to
support your development in:
- Python, PHP, or other scripting languages to support database maintenance automation
- Experience with git/bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence
- System administrator skills with Redhat or Ubuntu experience

- Get familiar with our database deployments, maintenance procedures, and transformation plans
- Participate in daily and weekly maintenance tasks
- Manage the database architecture for our system, supporting other DBAs
This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
