The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for the welding and fabrication areas at our McConnellsburg Plant. This role is responsible for developing, improving, and supporting manufacturing processes that drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, and Production teams to ensure manufacturability of new product designs, optimize fabrication and welding processes, and support the implementation of new equipment, tooling, and automation technologies.

YOUR IMPACT

  • Lead manufacturing engineering projects of moderate to high complexity, ensuring successful execution within established timelines and objectives.

  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.

  • Review new product releases and engineering changes for manufacturability, providing recommendations to improve production efficiency and product quality.

  • Perform complex engineering analyses, calculations, investigations, and technical evaluations to support manufacturing operations.

  • Design, specify, and implement complex assembly and welding fixturing solutions.

  • Evaluate, select, and support the implementation of specialized tooling, equipment, and manufacturing technologies.

  • Analyze and improve fabrication and welding processes to meet production, quality, and operational goals.

  • Partner with Production, Operations, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve manufacturing challenges and drive process improvements.

  • Develop business cases and recommendations for capital equipment, tooling, and automation investments.

  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to Manufacturing Engineers and other members of the Engineering organization.

  • Support welding process development, qualification activities, and continuous improvement initiatives within the fabrication environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering or related field.

  • Five (5) or more years of experience in a fabrication, welding, or heavy manufacturing environment

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.

  • Experience with welding automation, robotic welding systems, and automated manufacturing technologies.

  • Experience developing weld procedures, work instructions, and welding training programs.

  • Knowledge of destructive and nondestructive testing methods and weld quality standards.

  • Experience supporting capital equipment projects, tooling design, and process optimization initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement principles.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This position is based in a manufacturing or production environment and may involve exposure to loud noise, dust, moving machinery, or temperature fluctuations.

Pay Range:

$82,900.00 - $134,300.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
