We’ve been named a Leader by multiple analyst firms and have been globally recognized for Innovation, Product Strength, and Simplicity in Design , and our culture.
Want to join the leader in AI-powered data security?

We're seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Technical Program Management (TPM) to lead a team of TPMs and drive execution across our most critical, cross-functional engineering initiatives. This role blends people leadership, program strategy, and hands-on execution — you'll build and mentor a high-performing TPM team while personally driving alignment across engineering, product, and business stakeholders on our highest-priority programs.

The ideal candidate has deep technical fluency, a track record of managing complex programs from concept to launch, and the leadership skills to grow a team while raising the bar on program management practices across the organization.

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:
  • Lead and grow a team of TPMs, including hiring, mentoring, performance management, and career development.

  • Own end-to-end delivery of major, cross-organizational technical programs — from scoping and planning through execution, risk management, and launch.

  • Partner with engineering leadership, product management, and design to align on roadmaps, priorities, and tradeoffs across multiple teams.

  • Identify and mitigate risks proactively, surfacing dependencies, blockers, and resourcing gaps before they impact timelines.

  • Establish and evolve program management practices — tooling, rituals, reporting, and processes that scale with the organization.

  • Drive clear, concise communication of program status, risks, and decisions to engineering leadership and executive stakeholders.

  • Facilitate technical planning processes such as quarterly roadmap planning, sprint/PI planning, and post-mortems.

  • Champion a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, using data and retrospectives to refine how the team plans and executes.

  • Represent the TPM function in cross-functional leadership forums and influence organizational strategy.

WE’D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
  • 10+ years of experience in technical program management, engineering program management, or a related discipline, including 2+ years directly managing a team of TPMs or program managers.

  • Strong technical background — CS degree or equivalent experience, with enough fluency in software architecture, APIs, and infrastructure to engage credibly with engineers and make informed tradeoff decisions.

  • Demonstrated success leading large, complex, cross-functional programs (multiple teams, competing priorities, ambiguous scope) to successful completion.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience communicating effectively to both engineers and senior executives.

  • Strong analytical skills — comfortable defining metrics, building dashboards, and using data to drive decisions.

  • Experience with program/project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence Smartsheet) and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or similar).

  • A track record of building or scaling program management processes within a growing engineering organization.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complexity into clear, actionable narratives.

  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and support high-quality decision-making.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in data security, data management, backup/recovery, or infrastructure/cloud software.

  • Familiarity with hybrid and multicloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and enterprise IT workloads.

  • Background as a software engineer, engineering manager, or in a related technical role prior to moving into program management.

  • Experience operating through a large-scale product integration or M&A (e.g., platform consolidation efforts).

  • PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification.
