Software Engineer II - Quality Analyst, Automation / Functional, Playwright, Mongo/Oracle, API
Job Responsibilities:
Execute automated, and regression testing using modern frameworks
Functional testing – API/web/E2E
Database experience – Mongo/Oracle
Apply AI-enabled testing techniques to increase coverage and improve defect detection
Build and maintain automation scripts and reusable testing assets
Analyze testing data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
Partner with product, operations, and technology teams to modernize testing processes
Support continuous improvement of AI-driven testing capabilities
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Experience with automated testing frameworks (Playwright/nodejs)
Knowledge of AI or data-driven testing approaches
Ability to analyze data and identify testing patterns
Strong collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
Experience supporting quality assurance activities
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Exposure to AI/ML testing tools
Experience in financial services or regulated environments
Skills Required
- Formal training or certification in software engineering and 2+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools, with ability to critically evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and resiliency/security expectations
- Experience across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
- Full stack Java developer experience in enterprise application development
- Strong experience in SDLC delivery in Agile methodologies
- At least two years experience in Java 17+
- Experience developing microservices packaged into AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service and/or Elastic Container Service and deployed to EC2
- Experience writing Terraform scripts and deploying in AWS production environments
- Experience in at least one relational database management system (preferably Oracle or PostgreSQL)
