The Department & Team 

The Technical Development team develops and delivers both high quality and well fitting products for Tommy Jeans. Responsible for the end to end technical development of the product, from initial concept to physical garments through to production approval, pioneering product excellence, as well as delivering on company & divisional KPI’s.   

Closely partnering with several stakeholders, from Product Development, design & merchandising, through to global teams this team plays an intricate part in delivering the Tommy Jeans brand DNA.   

The Position

Drive product quality and fit consistency throughout the technical development process by providing strategic guidance to the Technical Product Development team and fostering close collaboration with internal stakeholders and vendors. Enhance efficiency by ensuring data accuracy in PLM, analyzing processes and best practices, and implementing effective structures and ways of working.

Provide strategic oversight and guidance on the team's operational activities, ensuring alignment with overall brand and product strategy while driving key KPIs. Proactively address team callouts—such as overdevelopment, timeline risks, or vendor performance—escalating issues as needed to maintain efficiency and execution.

Own the technical product management process from development to production handover, attending critical milestone meetings (e.g., sketch launch, prototype review, SMS review) and advising on product improvements to optimize fit, quality, and manufacturability

Key Responsibilities :

  • Research & development of key trends and focus product groups.

  • Oversee the end-to-end technical development process, ensuring product quality, fit consistency, and alignment with brand standards.

  • Provide expert guidance to the team, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and drive continuous improvements in fit, construction, and manufacturability.

  • Drive efficiency in technical operations by streamlining workflows, ensuring accurate data management in PLM, and implementing best practices.

  • Proactively identify challenges and take action to resolve or escalate as needed.

  • Recruit, maintain & nurture high performing teams, including managing learning and development of direct reports & wider teams development.

  • Promoting and model the company values in all areas of the role.

  • Provide (ad hoc) analyses and reporting for presentations to management and key stakeholders

The Ideal Candidate description:

  • 5 years of experience minimum with preference of 2+ years managing

  • A bachelor/ master’s degree in fashion, garment technology, pattern cutting or equivalent experience in fashion, clothing, or textiles industry 

  • Strong knowledge in all aspects of technical product development, including product construction, production & quality, grading & pattern development/ management within relevant category

  • Effective communication skills: inclusive team player, interdepartmental collaboration, stakeholder management 

  • Strong analytical skills  with proactive problem solving skills and attention to data and policies

  • Able to work in a highly productive, multicultural, fast paced environment with a hands-on approach

  • Self-driven, pragmatic, and business mind set

  • Ability to travel internationally

  • Embodies PVH values of individuality, passion, accountability, partnership & integrity

  • Good command of written & spoken English
