Job Summary
This role is an exciting opportunity within the Customer Engagement Domain on the Assisted Tools team. The Sr. Manager of Tech 360 will lead the SDLC of the existing native iOS app that is used by the Comcast in-home fulfillment technicians across the nation and the convergence to the Celestial UI that Tech 360 application will undergo as part of the next gen experience for fulfillment technicians.
Job Description
What You'll Do:
- Oversees the planning and designing of software applications, including new programs, enhancements and modifications.
- Provides guidance to Software Engineering team and other departments in identifying product and technical requirements. Serves as primary point of contact and liaison between Software Engineering and other teams.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, set timelines, and maintain communication for efficient workflows
- Implementing key performance indicators for development processes, advocating for best practices to improve efficiency and product quality
- Managing a range of stakeholders, including leadership, and leading on cross-project communications
- Understanding of AI tools that can help expedite SDLC and speed to market
- Directs implementation initiatives for new software products and applications. Organizes software update process for existing applications and coordinates the roll-out of software releases.
- Manages all the deliverables to ensure adherence to deadlines, specifications and budgets. Implements performance metrics and prepares periodic reports. Monitors and tracks project progress and reports findings to leadership team.
- Monitoring industry technological developments, evaluating external products, and ensuring the team's knowledge is up-to-date. Ensures all engineers keep current with technological developments within the industry. Monitors and evaluates competitive applications and products.
- Manages professional and non-exempt employees, conducting work performance reviews and Ensures work performance is adhering to Company standards. Mentors, trains and develops staff.
Required Skills & Experience:
- People Leadership (must-have): Proven experience managing and developing 8-10 direct reports, including performance management, coaching, and career development in an engineering environment
- Technical Expertise: Strong hands-on or architectural knowledge of React and iOS development (Swift)
- Backend & Data: Experience with MongoDB and designing/building microservices-based architectures
- Cloud & Platform: Familiarity with Cloud Foundry or comparable cloud platforms for application deployment and scalability
- Release Management: Demonstrated experience leading release planning, coordination, and execution across complex systems
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and translate technical concepts for diverse audiences
