CesiumAstro is expanding its global footprint with the establishment of a new office in Munich, Germany. We are looking to add a Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition to the team who will play a critical leadership role in building and supporting this next phase of CesiumAstro’s growth in Europe.
In this position, you will lead talent acquisition efforts for CesiumAstro’s Munich office, developing and executing the recruiting strategy required to build the organization from the ground up. The Senior Manager will partner closely with leadership, human resources, and functional leaders to translate business and workforce plans into an effective hiring strategy for Germany and the broader European talent market.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with U.S. based Talent Acquisition and Human Resources leadership to align European hiring activities, processes, and operating standards with CesiumAstro’s broader talent strategy.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing recruiting team to support rapid growth in Munich and broader European hiring needs.
- Lead full-cycle recruiting for critical positions, including specialized engineering, technical, operations, and business roles.
- Develop targeted sourcing strategies and talent pipelines across Europe for highly specialized professionals in aerospace, satellite communications, RF systems, electronics, embedded systems, hardware, software, and related disciplines.
- Partner with executives, hiring managers, and technical leaders to define position requirements, develop candidate profiles, establish interview strategies, and drive hiring decisions.
- Establish and scale the recruiting infrastructure, resources, and capabilities necessary as hiring demand grows.
- Build CesiumAstro’s employer presence within the German and European aerospace and advanced technology markets through relationships with universities, technical institutions, professional organizations, industry networks, and talent communities.
- Deliver a high-quality candidate experience that reflects CesiumAstro’s culture, mission, technical ambition, and growth trajectory.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, or a related field with a minimum of 9 years of related experience in Talent Acquisition, Recruiting, Human Resources, workforce planning, or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of leadership or management experience leading Talent Acquisition professionals, recruiting teams, or significant recruiting initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing recruiting strategies in a high-growth or rapidly scaling organization.
- Significant experience recruiting specialized engineering and technical talent.
- Strong understanding of the German talent market and demonstrated ability to recruit across Germany and, where appropriate, the broader European market.
- Knowledge of applicable German and European recruiting, employment, candidate data privacy, and recordkeeping requirements.
- Expertise in full-cycle recruiting, sourcing strategy, talent pipeline development, candidate assessment, workforce planning, and talent acquisition program management.
- Advanced analytical judgment in interpreting recruiting metrics, pipeline health, source effectiveness, hiring forecasts, and workforce trends.
- Strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to translate organizational objectives and workforce requirements into actionable recruiting strategies.
- Ability to operate effectively in a startup environment where strategy development and hands-on execution are equally important.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) such as Greenhouse, Lever, Workday Recruiting, iCIMS, or similar platforms.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner effectively with executives, technical leaders, hiring managers, candidates, and colleagues across multiple locations and time zones.
- Professional proficiency in English required; German language proficiency is strongly preferred.
