Category Strategy & Planning

· Lead the development and execution of multi-year indirect procurement category strategies aligned with Caliber's business objectives, procurement roadmap, and annual savings targets.

· Own complex and high-value indirect procurement categories, including CapEx, Facilities Services, Corporate Travel, IT, Marketing, Human Resources, Equipment, and Equipment Services.

· Analyze enterprise spend, market conditions, supplier capabilities, demand drivers, and industry trends to identify strategic sourcing, cost optimization, standardization, and value-creation opportunities.

· Build and maintain multi-year category plans and sourcing pipelines that balance cost, quality, service, innovation, risk, and operational requirements.

· Develop compelling business cases, sourcing recommendations, and executive-level presentations to influence decisions and secure leadership alignment.

· Lead and support Procurement Transformation initiatives through process improvement, supplier consolidation, spend management, standardization, and technology adoption.

· Develop and maintain an annual sourcing pipeline with clear priorities, value targets, timelines, and stakeholder ownership.

Supplier Management

· Develop and lead strategic relationships with critical suppliers across assigned indirect procurement categories to drive value, innovation, service, and long-term performance.

· Lead supplier performance reviews, executive business reviews, and scorecard evaluations for strategic and critical suppliers.

· Establish and monitor supplier performance expectations, contractual obligations, SLAs, KPIs, and corrective action plans.

· Lead supplier rationalization, consolidation, performance improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives across assigned categories.

Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation

· Lead complex, high-value end-to-end sourcing initiatives, including RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, contracting, and implementation.

· Lead complex negotiations covering pricing, commercial terms, service levels, incentives, rebates, risk allocation, and value-added programs.

· Partner with Legal, Finance, Risk, and business stakeholders to structure, negotiate, and finalize complex supplier agreements, Statements of Work, and Service Level Agreements.

· Deliver measurable cost savings, cost avoidance, demand management, and operational efficiencies while protecting service, quality, and business continuity.

Collaboration & Business Partnership

· Serve as a senior procurement business partner to functional and executive leaders across Operations, Finance, Marketing, Facilities, Information Technology, Human Resources, Fleet, Equipment, and Corporate Services.

· Influence functional leaders and stakeholders to align business requirements, category strategies, sourcing priorities, supplier decisions, and implementation plans.

· Provide market intelligence, supplier insights, commercial expertise, and fact-based recommendations to support strategic business decisions.

· Communicate category performance, sourcing progress, savings, risks, and strategic recommendations to senior and executive leadership.

· Provide coaching, guidance, and subject-matter support to Category Managers, sourcing team members, and cross-functional project teams as needed.

Risk Management & Innovation

· Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate supplier, operational, financial, cybersecurity, data privacy, compliance, contractual, and business continuity risks within assigned categories.

· Evaluate supplier financial health, concentration risk, business continuity capabilities, and other risk indicators for strategic and critical suppliers.

· Identify emerging technologies, products, services, market developments, and supplier capabilities that can improve business performance and create competitive advantage.

· Drive innovation and continuous improvement through strategic supplier partnerships and external market expertise.

Education & Experience

· Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field preferred.

· 7+ years of progressive experience in indirect procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, or supplier management, with demonstrated ownership of complex spend portfolios.

· Demonstrated experience leading complex indirect categories such as CapEx, Facilities, IT, HR, Marketing, Travel, Equipment, Equipment Services, or Professional Services.

· Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, lead cross-functional initiatives, and translate business requirements into procurement strategies.

· Experience negotiating complex contracts, Statements of Work (SOWs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and spend analysis tools.

· Experience with ERP, eProcurement, contract management, and supplier management systems preferred.

· Ability to interpret financial data, supplier proposals, and contractual terms.

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and spend analysis tools.

· Achievement of annual savings, cost avoidance, and value-creation targets.

· Successful execution of multi-year category strategies, sourcing pipelines, and complex enterprise initiatives.

· Improved supplier performance, contract compliance, risk management, and service levels.

· Growth in indirect spend under management, preferred-supplier utilization, and enterprise standardization.

· Stakeholder adoption and satisfaction, supplier consolidation, and measurable contribution to Caliber's Procurement Transformation roadmap.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field
