POSITION OVERVIEW

Sky Zone’s Procurement & Supply Chain organization is working hard to push the boundaries of traditional procurement and deliver best in class procurement and supply chain services to our internal customers and franchisees across 250+ locations in the US, Canada and beyond. We are looking for individuals who can think outside the box to achieve company objectives regarding value and partnerships with our suppliers.

As a Sr. Manager for Supply Chain Sourcing, you will lead our sourcing function and be responsible for both direct and indirect procurement. You will work in conjunction with the Supply Chain Leader to develop and deliver our vision while managing a team of sourcing managers and buyers to deliver best-in-class services.

Ultimately, you are responsible for driving value throughout our supply chain, identifying and developing strong relationships with our key partners, and putting in place robust agreements that will scale with Sky Zone’s growth plans from a pricing, risk, quality, and delivery perspective. You are a strong and experienced leader that can foster a team culture centered around maximizing value that benefits Sky Zone, our franchisees, and our third-party partners.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Advanced degree and 7+ years of experience working in one or more of the following; or bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience working in one or more of the following; or 13+ years of experience working in one or more of the following:
  • Purchasing/procurement
  • Material or production planning
  • Operations or supply chain management
  • Master production scheduling
  • Construction, facilities, or industrial plant management

• Able to travel up to 30%
• Able to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed to meet major milestones

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Strong background of managing and developing a team for 5+ years
• Experience building and leading a procurement function in a high-growth, high-complexity global company
• Strong technical knowledge and skills in current technologies and applications (e.g. MS Office Suite, SQL, PowerBI, etc.)
• Deep experience in purchasing or similar procurement related experience across multiple categories
• Strong budget tracking and cost analytical skills
• Extensive project management and organizational skills
• Experience managing large scale industrial and commercial projects
• Strong contract negotiation and document management skills
• Demonstrated ability to influence across all levels of the organization

• Remarkable problem-solving skills with a bias for speed
• Quick learner and ability to prioritize appropriately to meet customer and company needs

RESPONSIBILITIES

Sourcing department leadership

• Lead strategic planning and direction for the company's sourcing function, measured by the setting & achievement of annual cost reduction targets and the alignment of sourcing strategies with overall business objectives.
• Develop enterprise sourcing processes, practices, policies and KPIs/metrics in conjunction with the supply chain operations team.
• Establish sourcing processes, policies, and metrics with relentless focus on efficiency gains and achieving near-perfect compliance rates.
• Build and lead a high-performing sourcing team for strategic planning and execution.
• Proactively address risks and resolve issues within the sourcing process, measured by the frequency and severity of sourcing-related incidents and the timeliness of resolution.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement sourcing and cost management strategies as well as engage with executive management and present on sourcing matters.
• Formulate sourcing strategies to minimize risk and achieve sourcing targets, with KPIs including risk mitigation effectiveness and achievement of cost savings goals.

Negotiation and execution of deliverables

• Direct & drive vendor selection, evaluation, and negotiation procedures, evaluated by vendor performance ratings, cost savings achieved through negotiations, and supplier relationship management effectiveness.

• Lead contract drafting, negotiation, and management processes, evaluated by contract negotiation success rates, adherence to contract terms, and contract compliance.
• Lead the team to relentlessly drive value through the supply chain through negotiations & ensuring robust contracts that are favorable to Sky Zone and its franchisees. 
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Ensure supplier performance meets contractual obligations and aligns with business objectives, measured by supplier performance scorecards and the achievement of service level agreements.
• Identify and onboard new suppliers to support evolving business needs, assessed by supplier onboarding timelines, supplier diversity metrics, and supplier contribution to business goals.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to sit or stand at a desk for extended periods of time while working on a computer.
• Ability to move around and position self appropriately during park onsite assessments. 
• Ability to effectively perceive speech and express ideas over the phone and via Teams for majority of the day.
• Able to lift 20 lbs. 

Compensation: $105-115k + annual bonus based on qualifications, experience, and performance. Competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401k with company match.
