Job Description Summary
Strategy & Operations (StratOps) is a newly established function within the Office of the Chief Operating and Financial Officer (COFO). It helps Enterprise prioritize, resource, govern, and deliver its most important cross-divisional work — bringing together project management, portfolio management, execution, and resource allocation in one place, without replacing division or Shared Services ownership. StratOps focuses the organization on a defined set of strategic priorities that require coordination, tradeoffs, and sustained execution.Job Description
It has three areas of focus:
Enterprise PMO: Leads enterprise prioritization and portfolio management, drives implementation of the Strategic Plan, and leads enterprise-wide special projects
Innovation Fund: Governs how Enterprise invests capital from an internal innovation fund to bring its most promising mission-driven ideas to scale
Shared Services PMO: Provides portfolio management, project management, and execution support across Enterprise’s corporate Shared Services functions — such as Finance, Treasury, IT, and Enterprise Risk Management
Based in New York, this is a hybrid role. The Sr. Manager, Strategy & Operations provides flexible execution capacity across the StratOps function, supporting execution on the function’s highest-priority, cross-divisional initiatives and helping translate prioritized work into structured plans, coordinated action, and measurable progress. Because the function is still being built, this role is a chance to roll up your sleeves and help create the tools, trackers, and operating rhythms we rely on — we’re looking for an entrepreneurial doer who is energized by building. Rather than sitting within a single vertical, the role is deployed across the function’s priorities based on organization-wide needs, working closely with Enterprise PMO, Innovation Fund, and Shared Services PMO and gaining broad exposure across the team’s most important work.
Note: This role is designed as a senior individual contributor and is not currently envisioned as a people management role.
Responsibilities
Shared execution support across StratOps
Support execution on the function’s high-priority, cross-divisional special projects, and help drive implementation, change management, and adoption across teams
Build and maintain the workplans, trackers, and status reporting for assigned initiatives, giving owners and leadership a clear, current view of progress
Coordinate across initiative owners, divisions, and Shared Services to lock deliverables, timelines, and owners — and drive next steps so work keeps moving
Conduct analysis and build the materials that feed prioritization, resource-allocation, and quarterly strategy-review cycles
Track progress, risks, and dependencies across active initiatives, and help resolve or escalate issues before they slow delivery
Prepare the agendas, pre-reads, and follow-ups for the function’s operating rhythms — quarterly reviews, leadership meetings, and decision forums
Targeted support to each vertical
Enterprise PMO: support prioritization and portfolio management work
Innovation Fund: support RAF analysis and the preparation of diligence and decision materials
Shared Services PMO: help track and coordinate the Shared Services project portfolio, and provide hands-on support on specific Shared Services operational projects as needed
Qualifications
4–8+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, operations, or project management
Strong execution skills, including planning, tracking, stakeholder coordination, and material development
Entrepreneurial, roll-up-your-sleeves mindset — excited to help build and refine a new function’s tools and processes
Analytical and structured problem-solver with ability to work in ambiguity and bring clarity to complex work
Ability to work across teams without direct authority and manage multiple priorities
High adaptability and ability to operate across multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and experience preparing materials for and working with senior leaders
Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, with the ability to produce clear, high-quality materials and analysis
Proficiency using AI tools to work more efficiently and elevate the quality of outputs

What We Do
Enterprise Community Investment (“ECI”) is a national leader in providing investment capital and development services for affordable housing and community revitalization. ECI operates as part of the Enterprise family of companies, which includes Enterprise Community Partners, Inc., a national Section 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Enterprise’s mission is to create opportunity for low- and moderate-income people through affordable housing in diverse, thriving communities. At Enterprise, we believe opportunity begins when people have a place to call home. We are driven by our mission, fueled by business discipline and sustained by donors and investors. Since 1982, Enterprise has worked with partners in communities nationwide. As one of America’s original social enterprises, we bring together the people and resources to create affordable housing and to revitalize neighborhoods. ECI finances, develops and acquires housing and provides other community development initiatives in underserved neighborhoods throughout the U.S. ECI’s primary business is syndicating low-income tax credits. Our investment and lending products include low-income housing tax credits, historic tax credits and long-term permanent mortgages on multifamily and commercial properties. Permanent mortgages are provided through Bellwether Enterprise, our mortgage subsidiary. ECI develops affordable rental and for-sale housing, through its subsidiary Enterprise Homes. Asset management is offered by Enterprise Community Asset Management, Inc. Since its founding, Enterprise has invested $43.6 billion in housing and community revitalization, helped create nearly 585,000 homes and we have touched millions of lives. In fact, every day someone moves into a better place to live thanks to Enterprise. However, today ECI’s mission is more critical than ever. The U.S. is in the midst of a housing crisis that affects nearly 19 million low-income families. Our goal is to end housing insecurity for all.
